On the Drawing Board

It's a little disheartening that I've gone three months without an update. It's not that I'm not producing work-- I just haven't produced anything finished enough to warrant posting here. I do have some exciting pieces in progress, though, so I thought I'd share.

The first is a portrait of the Oracle of Echolalia from Centoros. As you can probably guess at this stage, she's got a very opulent costume-- which is why it's taking me months to finish.

Next up is a portrait of Ahkera, an angelic paladin who walks among mortals on Centoros. I have a lot of love for paladins as characters, because I think too often they get pushed to the wayside in favor of rebel antiheroes. Rebel antiheroes certainly have their place in the media, but a morally upright character isn't inherently boring. Take a look at Marvel's heroes-- in particular, Captain America. They do good guys the right way.

I've also produced a large smattering of quick character sketches as visual aids for my D&D group. They've been the main driving favor behind all of my creative work since January-- art and otherwise. It's a lot of work to keep a group running, but the constant source of inspiration and motivating energy is worth every minute.

Below is a gallery of the sketches I've produced for D&D, most of which can now be found in the sketchbook section of my website. Enjoy!
